At 17 years old, I was fortunate to have the incredible opportunity to spend my junior ear of high school living with an Italian family in Viterbo, Italy. Not only did this give me the confidence Ito step outside of my comfort zone, but also sparked a travel bug in me. Subsequently, I spent a semester studying in Thessaloniki, Greece and most recently a summer studying in Iceland.

My camera gives me security in unfamiliar places. Wherever I am fortunate enough to travel, I set photography goals for myself about what subjects to focus on. The photographs here were taken over the course of these humbling travel experiences with a Nikon D7000.
