For my interaction design class I created Langotango, a language learning aid that connects language students with fluent speakers to further language speaking and writing abilities. The site functions on the basis that in order to practice your language skills, you must first teach others your native language.
In creating the site's brand, I used playful colors and light typography that is also clear and easy to read. The icon-driven logo further emphasizes the global nature of the program.
In the early stages of the project, I created different user stories to develop a target user and experimented with landing pages for usability and efficiency
In the design of the interface, there is a mixed use of languages in the navigation to encourage an immersive atmosphere. To enhance the chat feature, there is a dictionary, translator, and thesaurus prominently placed on the chat screen.
I used Adobe Illustrator to design the interface, Balsamiq to create early mockups, and InVision to create the user experience.
