This was a study in which I developed a graphic translation of a common kitchen item for my graphic design class. After drawing the corkscrew 100 times to get to know the object well, I translated the form in Adobe Illustrator by separating the highlights and shadows.
The following two iterations show the corkscrew in front of a letterform and in use with a wine bottle and cork. Here I focused more on the shape of the object in relation to the letter K and wine bottle and cork.
